I built this armoire to be a coat closet in the front hall of a victorian house. The clients loved furniture with legs, and our design discussions led us to this hybrid French Provincial design. It was built from a supply of exquisite walnut that had come from his grandmother's Missouri farm nearly 50 years before. They were so happy with it that they commissioned me to build a bed to go with it.
