The body is made from 4 or 8 wedges of shaped curly maple with laminated accent veneers between. This is then tenoned into the base and cap turnings.

The conical shade is recommended with this lamp. Panels can either be silver (alkyd) or amber (shellac) mica. Also available are birdseye or curly maple veneer panels. Wood veneers are laminated over fiberglass cloth with clear penetrating epoxy resin for stability and strength.

A handmade Lokta Bark paper shade is shown on the first piece. These shades are available in a number of patterns and can be substituted on any lamp.

Lamps and shades are fine sanded, oiled to bring out the figure, and finished in catalyzed lacquer for a durable finish.
