This table is in the New Jersey Governor's mansion, Drumthwacket, in Princeton New Jersey. This type table is traditionally made of mahogany with satinwood accents. This particular table was to be made of woods found in New Jersey, so walnut was chosen as the dominant wood. The sunburst was made from sawn walnut crotch veneers, with light maple for the string accents. The light outer band was made of osage orange. The table top measures 52" in diameter.
