Designed with Scott Reinboth of Reinboth & Co., Lambertville, NJ for a home in Princeton, NJ. This was part of the total home design by Mr. Reinboth. He wanted the bar to appear as if it was rising out of the floor. To realize this, I created a deep and tall base that curve up and in on a 12" radius. The entire piece was finished in a deep ebonized finish, applied in numerous tone coats to give incredible depth to the near black color. The top was specified to be a 1/2" piece of frosted plate glass, set above a sub surface of white laminate. A 2" bar rail of polished nickel was applied to follow the curve of the bar front. The back cabinets were given doors with touch latches, so that the surface would be unbroken.
